My final module project is called Collin's mood lamp. It is basically a mood lamp with 3 different lights: blue, green and red.
In order to do my final module project, there were various stages. The first stage was to sketch the 3d design using AutoDesk Fusion 360. Here are some pictures of my sketches in Fusion 360.
The second stage was to program the arduino uno. I programmed the arduino uno such that the LED strip will display 3 different lights: green, blue and red. Here is the process:
1.Press the pushbutton
2.Green light flashes.
3. Press the pushbutton.
4.Red light flashes.
5.Press the push button
6.Blue light flashes
7.Press the push button
8.Light turns off
The above video is a demonstration of the process
The third stage is to 3d print a C letter. This C letter represents my name, Collin.
The fourth stage is to laser cut the sketch. I used 3mm transparent and white acryllic.
Now that the sketch has already been laser cut, the fifth stage is to piece the laser cut sides together to form the mood lamp. The C letter will be superglued to the top side of the mood lamp. The LED strip will be placed inside the mood lamp while the arduino uno will be outside of the mood lamp.

Challenges faced and improvements
I faced many difficulties while doing this final module project. For example, I had trouble laser cutting the pieces as i did not know how to operate the laser cutter machine. Thankfully, the TSO taught me how to operate the laser cutter machine and in the end i was able to operate the laser cutter machine by myself and successfully cut the pieces that i needed. Another example is the countless technical difficulties that i faced while updating the website. Everytime i faced a technical difficulty, i would search google on how to solve this error and eventually, successfully solve the error.
For the possible improvements in the future, it would be to integrate the entire system into the mood lamp, giving the mood lamp a clean look. Another improvement would be to install a voice command for the mood lamp, so that i can use the moodlamp by simply saying "turn on a certain colour".
Throughout this course , i have learnt many important and useful skills such as how to operate a laser cutter, 3d printer or design an object using Fusion 360. I would like to thank my lecturer, Mr Steven Chew , for his patient guidance and helping me when i was lost. I hope to utilise the skills that i have learnt in the future. Thank you!
